OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Official Mission Statement:
"Providing material assistance in a spirit of Christian love and justice to those in need in the Lakes Region by establishing programs, both directly and in concert with other organizations, which will provide both temporary relief and helpful solutions."

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. All management and staff are strictly volunteer, and we provide services and assistance to all - regardless of faith or creed.

Come join with us in helping those in need! We welcome all who share our ministry to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.

We are a Roman Catholic organization dedicated to Christian beliefs, and we welcome all volunteers from all religious communities.

The Laconia Conference...
...is a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an International Catholic lay organization based in Paris, France. The National Council of the Society for the United States is headquartered in St. Louis, MO. The US Council celebrated the 150th anniversary of it's foundation in 1995. The Society is active throughout the United States with over 60,000 members.

...was started during the latter part of 1990 and received its formal letter of Aggregation by the National Council in June, 1991. The Conference was incorporated in the state of New Hampshire in August, 1994. The Conference currently has more than 100 volunteers and is located at 1269 Union Avenue in Laconia, NH.

...is a tax exempt institution under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. In lieu of a Board of Directors, all decision-making for the Conference is conducted through its monthly meeting of Active Members. All management and staff are non-compensated volunteers; the Conference pays no salaries or wages.

...provides its services and assistance to all, regardless of faith or creed. We welcome members and volunteers from all religious backgrounds.
